Fast Food คืออะไร?
ฟาสต์ฟู้ด (Fast Food) หรืออาหารจานด่วน คืออาหารที่ผ่านกระบวนการแปรรูปมาอย่างหนักโดยมีส่วนผสมของสารสังเคราะห์มากชนิดซึ่งเป็นภัยต่อสุขภาพ ส่วนใหญ่มักจะปรุงสุกได้อย่างรวดเร็วโดยใช้ตะแกรง หม้อทอด หรือไมโครเวฟ เพื่อให้อาหารกรอบ มัน คงความสดใหม่ และรสชาติอร่อยตามที่ลูกค้าคาดหวัง อีกทั้ง Fast Food เป็นอาหารที่ราคาถูก หาซื้อง่าย ทานง่าย สะดวกรวดเร็ว และมีร้านเปิดให้บริการตลอดเวลา Fast Food จึงเป็นทางเลือกด้านอาหารที่ผู้คนให้ความสนใจเป็นจำนวนมาก
“Fast Food” อาจส่งผลเสียต่อสุขภาพ หากรับประทานในปริมาณมากจนเกินไป
อาหารแต่ละประเภทมีข้อดี ข้อเสียแตกต่างกันออกไป หากทานในปริมาณที่มากหรือน้อยจนเกินไป ฟาสต์ฟู้ดเองก็เช่นกัน หากทานบ่อยหรือทานมากจนเกินไป อาจส่งผลเสียต่อสุขภาพได้ ดังนี้
1. ความดันโลหิตสูง
อาหารจานด่วนมักถูกปรุงด้วยส่วนประกอบที่เพิ่มรสชาติให้จัดจ้านถูกปากผู้บริโภค และใส่สารกันบูดเพื่อให้อาหารไม่เน่าเสีย สารเหล่านี้เพิ่มโซเดียมให้อาหารจานด่วนของคุณในปริมาณมาก เมื่อผู้บริโภคกินอาหารที่มีโซเดียมสูงติดต่อกัน อาจส่งผลทำให้ความดันโลหิตสูง กระทบต่อระบบหัวใจและหลอดเลือด มีโอกาสเสี่ยงหัวใจวาย หรือหัวใจล้มเหลว และโรคหลอดเลือดสมองได้

อาหารฟาสต์ฟู้ดที่มักมีรสชาติจัดจ้าน ครบรส หวาน มัน เค็ม ประกอบไปด้วยไขมัน ไขมันทรานส์ น้ำตาล โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งอาหารที่ทอดด้วยน้ำมันชุ่ม ๆ เช่น ไก่ทอด จะมีทั้งไขมัน และไขมันอิ่มตัวในปริมาณมาก การทานอาหารประเภทนี้ในปริมาณบ่อย จึงเพิ่มความเสี่ยงการเกิดภาวะคอเรสเตอรอลสูง นำไปสู่การเกิดโรคอื่น ๆ ตามมาได้ เช่น ภาวะน้ำหนักเกิน โรคอ้วน โรคเบาหวาน และโรคหัวใจได้
3. ส่งผลเสียต่อระบบทางเดินอาหาร
อาหารจานด่วนส่วนใหญ่มักมีแป้งซึ่งเป็นคาร์โบไฮเดรตเป็นส่วนประกอบหลัก และมีขั้นตอนการปรุงสุกที่รวดเร็ว ยิ่งการทานอาหารจานด่วนควบคู่กับน้ำอัดลม จะยิ่งทำให้อาหารไม่ย่อย แน่นท้อง อึดอัด และท้องอืดมากขึ้น นอกจากนี้ยังอาจทำให้เกิดอาการท้องผูกได้เช่นกัน เนื่องจากอาหารฟาสต์ฟู้ดเป็นอาหารจำพวกคาร์โบไฮเดรตที่ผ่านกระบวนการแปรรูปหลายขั้นตอน ทำให้ได้รับสารอาหารน้อยลง มีใยอาหารต่ำ ส่งผลให้ขับถ่ายยาก เกิดอาการท้องผูก และอาจเป็นริดสีดวงทวารหนักได้
ทาน “Fast Food” อย่างไรให้ได้ประโยชน์?
ปัจจุบันอาหารฟาสต์ฟู้ด หรืออาหารจานด่วนมีหลากหลายเมนู เช่น แฮมเบอร์เกอร์ เฟรนช์ฟรายส์ ไก่ทอด นักเก็ต เบอร์ริโต (Burrito) ทาโค (Taco) พิซซ่า เป็นต้น โดยอาหารจานด่วนแต่ละอย่างจะมีสารอาหารที่แตกต่างกันออกไป ขึ้นอยู่กับวัตถุดิบ และกระบวนการทำ อย่างไรก็ตาม Fast Food ไม่ใช่ทางเลือกที่ดีสำหรับมื้ออาหาร หากเราต้องการ หรือจำเป็นต้องทาน Fast Food เราควรปรับเปลี่ยน หรือเพิ่มสารอาหารให้เมนูนั้น ๆ อย่างเหมาะสมเพื่อเป็นโทษแก่ร่างกายให้น้อยที่สุด เช่น
แฮมเบอร์เกอร์ (Hamburger)
