เนื้อผ้ายอดนิยมสำหรับการตัดเย็บมีดังนี้
Cotton (ผ้าคอตตอน/ผ้าฝ้าย) – เนื้อผ้าเนื้อบาง น้ำหนักเบา ทิ้งตัวดี ใส่สบาย ระบายอากาศดี
Rayon (ผ้าเรยอน) – เนื้อผ้ายืดหยุ่นได้มาก ใส่สบาย แต่ยับง่าย เหมาะกับการทำเสื้อยืด
Chambray (ผ้าแชมเบรย์) – ตัวเลือกอีกแบบสำหรับคนที่ต้องการเนื้อผ้าเรียบ น้ำหนักเบา แต่ผ้าแชมเบรย์จะไม่ทิ้งตัวเท่ากับผ้าด้านบน
